OCCUPIED PORTS BRITISH RAIDERS MORE ‘ HEAVY ATTACKS AVALANCHE OF BOMBS x COLOSSAL FIRE SEEN (News by Cable.) RUGBY, Sept. 27. An Air Ministry, communique states that aircraft of the Royal Air Force last night' made further heavy attacks on the Channel ports, including Ostend, Calais, Boulogne and Le Havre, where particularly heavy damage was observed. Kiel and other military object.ves in the north-west of Germany were successfully bombed. One of the British aircraft is missing. Watchers on the British coast cheered relays of bombers as they swept over the Channel to attack the invasion bases-.

An avalanche of bombs lit up the sky on the French coast. During the raid on Kiel a largo vessel at anchor, it is believed, received a direct hit. One pilot reported leaving a colossal red and orange fire on the east side of the harbour basin. A large fire was also started on the west side and another vessel is presumed to have been hit. Along the Dortmund-Ems Canal, bombs were seen to straddle the new aqueduct. A salvo of high explosives- filled the lock gates. It has been decreed in Berhn that schools will not open in the mornings after raids lasting after midnight. Instruction is to be made up in the afternoons. The public has been ordered not to visit bombed areas. Theatres are opening at 6.30 pan., an hour earlier than usual.
