OFFICIAL POINTING FINGER OF PATRIOTISM CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. “The finger of patriotism has been pointed at us and wo are not §oing to take, it,” said Mr. W. R. Carey, the president of the South Island Motor Union, when discussing the agitation lor casing the petrol restrictions at the meeting of the union. “You can analyse the record of any Minister of the Crown and compare it with that of members of this union,” he continued. “W r e stand in favourable comparison and we will not take it.” The meeting heartily endorsed' Mr. Carey’s attitude.
