DEFENCE BY FRENCH JAPANESE INVASION PROGRESS OF TROOPS FRONT OF 50 MILES HANOI, Sept, 25. French official circles in Haiphong to-day declared that since the Japanese were continuing to infringe the.terms of the Hanoi agree-, inent by trying to enter Indo-China forcibly, the French regard the agreement as cancelled. It is officially stated in Hanoi that the French remained firmly decided to carry out the terms of the Hanoi agreement but Indo-China could not tolerate the condition of affairs when aij agreement," hardly signed, was broken by the initiative of the Southern China Command. It was officially stated m Hanoi' yesterday that the Japanese renewed the Kwangai border attacks during the afternoon with increased intensity. A message from Kweilin, the capital of Kwangsi, states that the Chinese are reported to have attacked the Japanese near Lungehow, hindering the invasion of IndoChina.
