OPOTIKI PIC SALE JDAJLGJCTV AND CO.'S REPORT Messrs Dalgecy and to. Ltd. report- that they have resumed their fortnightly pig sale, the initial sale taking place at the Opotiki saleyards on the Bth. instant when an excellent yarding came forward and prices generally were most satisfactory. A large bench of buyers from as far afield as Auckland was able to operate and quite a> number of our store pigs went out of the district. Baconers were in very keen demand hut not many were offered, bacon buyers generally not being able to fill tbeii orders. We quote the following prices :
Prime heavyweight baconcrs. to £3 10a; others, £3 l()s to £3 IBs; lighter, £3 to £3 10s; porkers, .heavy, good quality, to £2 15s; others, £2 5s to £2 14s; buttermilk pigs, 30s to £2 4s; slips, to 30s; weaners, good sorts, 18s to 24s (id; small and inferior, Ss__ to 12s od.
