SLEEPERS.
I must contradict your leader of last Saturday, were you state you can- \ not discover one out of 100 Saw Mill employees has saved enough out of his wages to purchase five acres and a cow Why, I can count dozens m the district who have been thrifty, that not only own 1 cow and five acres but from '2 cows^ up to 50 head and house and 1 acre up to 200 acres' and these' are men (all praise to them). that came to Oxford without a pound note they not only made homes for themselves but the majority of them have reared up large families and all out of their wages while engaged m the mills. I advise you to take a walk' from 'View Hill to East Oxford on. the Bush side and I vouch that 2 out of 3 homesteads are owned by men who have made what they holdout of their earnings while employed at the Mills.'
