ST ANDREW'S CHURCH.

A meeting of the Vestry of this Church, was held at the parsonage on Thursday evening, at which Mr Sharps moved " that the Church at East Oxford, be shifted to a central position," seconded by Mr M'Gorman. Dr Weld moved as an amendment "that the churches remain as they are," seconded by Mr Woodward, this was carried by five to two. Messrs Hawker, Weld, Lough, Woodward, Englebrecht, for the amendment, and Mr Sharpe and M'Gorman against. Mr Garbett said that as the proposal of certain lady members of the Church m this district, made at the meeting held at the parsonage ladt Wednesday, had his full approval, he must press for another resolution seoonding his approval ; a resolution of this nature was accordingly carried, the Vestry affirming canvas to be inexpedient and refusing assent thereto, and directing that information be forwarded to the ladies about to undertake this canvass to that effect.
