DOMESTIC ECONOMY.
To take greas out of carpets.— Grease can be taken out of carpets with a hot iron laid on some brown paper. To recolor brown Holland — The old-iashioned way to reuolor brown holland after washing it, was to boil it m some clean hay, with plenty of water, but at present many people use annatto viz., one ounce of annatto to three quarts hf water, and two ounces of potash. Stir up, and mix for five minutes. ' Then put m the linen, and afterwards dip m cold water, and if not dark enough put through again, being careful to rinse afterwards.
