LACE HINTS.
To clean real lace, place it between folds of tissue paper, well sprinkled with magnesia. Place tn"e paper between the leaves of a book and put a weight on it. Leave it two or three days, then shake out the powder and the lace should be quite clean and fresh. Before washing pleated lace collars and cuffs, tack the pleating close to the hem. After laundering, remove the thread and the pleats will have retained their shape.
