WELCOME HOME.

FUNCTION ON AUGUST 21.

At a meeting of the citizens: of Paeroa, which was convened l>y His Wdrship the Mayor and largely attended, it was decided to tender a welcome home to our returned soldiers on Wednesday, August 21. Committees were set up for the successful organisation of this function and we have n,o doubt a real hearty-wel-come will be accorded to our returned heroes. An invitation is extended, to all returned men to be present, whether or not they have previously received a civic welcome. Special invitations will be issued to returned soldiers by the secreary upon receipt of the name and address. The committee is particularly anxious to make this function a success in every way, and the citizens are cordially invited to assist and evince to the boys from the front that a Welcome Home in Paeroa is a real and genuine affair. A meeting of the ladies to arrange the details in connection with the supper'ls to be held on Wednesday afternoon in the fire < brigade station at 3.30 o'clock.
