ON WEDNESDAY,

In our last issue we mentioned that the entries received constituted a record and to-day we are able to give particulars of the entries in some of the chietf events and. competitions. For the cattle exhibits there is a very big advance, no less than 138 entries being received. As a number of the classes consists of two or more animals, roughly speaking, there will be about 200 head of cattle yarded on Wednesday. The,draught-horse classes are responsible for 17 entries, ponies, 4&, hacks and carriage horses, 140, jumping and rid|ing competition, 50, thoroughbred and roadsters, 8, and sheep, 10.

A working bee is busy preparing the grounds for the show, which should prove to be the most successful yet held by the Association.

The entries for the Cooking competitions, ibread, 21b I'oaf, and 12 scones have been extended to eleven o'clock on the morning of the show. All entries and exhibits should reach the marquee at eleven o'clock on Wednesday morning.
