OBITUARY.
MRS JAMES MACKAY
Still another of the old band of pioneers has passed away in the person of Mrs James Mackay. The deceased lady resided in Paeroa for many years but on the death of her husband, the late Mr James Mackay, in 1912, she went to live with her daughter, Mrs H. R. Brunskill, at Katikati. In the earlier years of her residence here, Mrs Mackay was an active worker in connection with almost everything that was going. Her failing health and also that of her late husband compelled her to live a more rejired life. She had a very large circle of friends who will mourn their loss. The funeral will leave the railway station to-morrow on the arrival of the 3 38 p.m. train.
