In the House of Representatives, oh the Estimates, Mr Cook severely attacked the cable subsidy. He said only three papers participated. Several thought they were going to pay the taxpayers money m a better manner. Mr Bachelor denied the statement. He said since the subsidy was granted other papers had joined, and now there were seven in. Mr Williams tell foul of the speaker. He said the Government prostituted itself by a system of Tammany in the interest of the Labour press.
