On Friday afternoon the following telegram from the Prime Minister (Sir J. G. Ward) was received by Mr W. Niccol (chairman ot the Paeroa School Committee): — "Grant oi £1250 was authorised last month, for reinstatement of Paeroa School. The Board has applied for an increase of grant, which Government does not feel justified in giving. Matter is now in board's hands and it is hoped that reinstatement of school will be put in hand forthwith."
