FATALITY AT WAIHI.

MR W. ASHBY KILLED.

Information was received at the Thames on Saturday evening to the effect that Mr William Ashby, who was a former resident of Thames, was killed on Waihi Beach. Full details are not to hand, but we are informed that death was caused by a kick in the stomach from a horse, and that Mr Ashby did not live long after being injured.

The deceased, who was well and favourably known at Thames, at one

time resided in Baillie Street. His son, Mr Harry Ashby, resides at the .Thames, and is employed by Mr J. Hawkes as carter. The many friends at Thames of Mr Ashby will regret to hear ot his sudden death, and sincere sympathy will be extended to the members of the deceased's family.—Thames Advertiser.
