The General Election.

Mr James Mackay -addressed a fair meeting of electors at Parawai on Monday nigh. , and received a vote of thanks and confidence.

Mv Moss was well received at Te Aroha on Monday night. « Mr Deßakker addressed a meeting a,fc the Uolden jOross on Monday night, and was accorded an enthusiastic reception. The Electoral Roll for Ohinemuri contains 8035 names. At the last election there were only 5667 names on the roll. • Mr Moss will address the electors in the Criterion Theatre at eight o'clock this evening. Mr Ross and Mr C. We would again remind candidates that nominations'' close with the' 'Returning Officer (Mr F. D. Pergusson) at five o'clock this afternoon. Candidates must be nominated by at least two electors, and the nomination must be accompanied by a deposit of £10. The Premier addressed a public meeting at Waihi on Saturday night aud was well received, being afterwards entertained ai a smoke concert, On Sunday he met, at Paeroa, a number of delegates from the branches of the Liberal Federation, and proceeded to the Waikato on Monday morning. On Monday night he addressed a meeting at Ngaruawahia, and last night he spoke at the Opera House, Auckland.
