It is expected the machinery will be placed in position and the plant in operat'on eai'ly in March. Colonel lanes has sailed for England. TAUPOEEPORTED FIND. Mining experts are in the neighbourhood of Taupo, examining the reported alluvial field. Their report will be of interest, as a good mauy conflicting rumours are afloat which need settling in some direction as soon as possible. ■
