LICENSING DISTRICT OF ' OHINEMURI. ,j NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. IN Pursuance of "The Electo/al Act, 1893," "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1898," and their amendments, I, Frederick Duncan Fergusson, Returning.Officer-for the Licensing District Of Ohinemuri, do hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held for the return of FIVE qualified persons to serve as members of the Licensing Committee for the said District; and that the last day for receiving nominations will be Wednesday, the TWENTYFOURTH DAY of MARCH, 1897; and that the POLLj if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said District on WEDNESDAY, the THIRTY-FIRST DAY of MARCH, 1897. Every person' desirous of becoming a Candidate must be qualified under Section Six of" The Alcoholic Liquors, Sale Control Act' 18913," and must,be nominated by not less than two Electors of the said District by a Noinina-; tion Paper, as prescribed by Section Seventy-five, of " The Electoral Act, 1893," as amended by Section Fifteen of "The Electoral Act, Amendment Act, 1896," delivered to the Returning Officer not later, than FIVE o'clock in the Afternoon of WEDNESDAY, the' TWENTY-FOURTH DAt , ofMARCH, 1897; and must ; to ■ the returuiug officer his consent to] the Nomination; and the said' Candidate, [or some person: on his behalf, must.
