THE TAIRUA LEASES.
Although the period has elapsed in which the proprietors of those mining leases situated on the' Kauri Timber Company's blocks at Tairua were called upon to surrender their titles, none of them have complied with the request, and as yet no further action has. .been taken by the Mines Department to insist upon the same being done; in fact, it is rumoured that the Mines Department have „ decided to await further developments before proceeding any further with the matter.
