The official weather forecast issued by the Government'Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—There is a high-pressure ridge over New Zealand and a depression is adyancing slowly across the Tasman Sea. Forecast to Midnight.—Light southwesterly winds predominating: weather fair to cloudy; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook, —Fair to cloudy. Weather in Dunedin.—A tortal of lOhr 42min of sunshine was recbrded in the city yesterday. A trace of rain fell up to 9.30 a.m.' The maximum temperature was 57.8 deg and the minimum was 52deg. During the dav the wind was variable, and last night was. light from the northeast. Pressure rose during the day, the barometer reading at midnight being 30.10 in.
