EQUALITY DEMANDED
Arming And Command Of German Units NZPA—Copyright Rec. 9.10 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 12. The Federal German Chancellor, Dr Konrad Adenauer, told a meeting of party leaders in Bonn last night that West Germany would reject the Atlantic Treaty plan for German combat teams in Western defence, says the Berlin correspondent of the Daily Mail. Dr Adenauer emphasised that West Germany would participate only on the condition that she had “ entirely equal rights in respect of both weapons for and the command of our troops. We must remove the suspicion that our troops are going to be used as cannon fodder.”
