Opening Of The Royal Festival Hall
NZPA Special Correspondent Rec. 9.35 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 11. Arrangements have now been completed for the King and Queen to attend the opening of the Royal Festival Hall on May 3, 1951. The King will unveil the commemorative tablet and there wilt be a dedicatory service conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Geoffrey Fisher. A special chorus and orchestra from all the leading London choral and orchestral bodies will then give a programme under the direction of Sir Adrian Boult and Sir Malcolm Sargent.
