ASSUMPTION DOGMA
Protest By Church Of Ireland Rec. 7.45 p.m. DUBLIN, Dec. 11. The archbishop and bishops of the Church of Ireland in a pastoral letter read in churches throughout Ireland yesterday, protested against the new Roman Catholic dogma of the Bodily Assumption of the Virgin Mary which was recently proclaimed by Pope Pius XII as an article of faith for Roman Catholics. The protest declared that the dogma rested “ on no scriptural or historical evidence.”
