Payments Behind Last Year’s With only eight working days left on which rates may be paid in Dunedin Without a penalty of 10 per cent, being incurred, only 47.66 per cent, of the total rates struck this year had been collected up to 5 p.m. on Friday. The rates struck totalled £495,514, and £236,174 was collected. Last year, £314,306, or 64.98 per cent of the rates totalling £483,658, nad been collected in the corresponding period. The last date for payment of rate* without penalty is December 21.
