To the ' Shareholders of the Waitaki Farmers’ Freezing Co., Ltd. With reference to propaganda initiated in the first place by a circular to shareholders appealing to them for support of their election as directors of the company, and signed by R. J. Gibson, A. McCulloch and A. McMillan, I notice that Mr Gibson’s name is not included in their later letter. Mr Gibson not being in accord with their contentions. In their letter signed A. McCulloch and A. McMillan, they refute statements made by me as to their support of our drafters and our company. For the information of our shareholdrs I will give a fuller statement of the position with facts and figures to support my statements. There are five candidates offering their services as directors Messrs R. J. Gibson, A. McCulloch and A McMillan. Their claims to support are as follows:—Support of our company, taking the last five years: Number of lambs supplied to our company and through our own drafters —Mr R. J. Gibson 950, 1500, 1900, 1550, 1800; Mr G. D. Grant, 100. 900, 770. 900, 779: Mr D. McDonald, 700, 1400. 1100, 1600, 1900; Mr McCulloch’s stock were sold to Sims Cooper and drafted by their drafter, Mr Borrie; Mr McMillan’s stock were sold to Armour and Co. and drafted bv the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s drafter, Mr Pringle. 1 think the duty of a director should be to assist in securing clients for our company and our drafters, and not, by example and support, furthering the interest of our opposition, and retarding the interests of our company DAVID WILLIAMS, 57 Wharfe street.
