The Christmas party of the Dunedin Travel Club will be held in the Tudor Hall this eyening. Miss Una Walker will leave tomorrow on the first stage of a visit to England. She will stay in Australia until early in the new year. , Miss B. N. Trenwith, St. Clair, left from Auckland on Saturday by the Tamaroa on a 12 months’ tour of England and the Continent. Mr and Mrs R. Green, Albert street, St. Clair, will leave Dunedin on Saturday en route for Singapore, where Mr Green Is to take up a new appointment. Hostesses at pre-wedding parties for Miss Joan Tennent have* been Mrs W. Pryor, Miss R. Lindon, Miss E. Carswell, Mrs J. R. Ringland, Miss Helen Price, Miss Nancy Just, Mrs J. Gilkison, and Mrs A. R. Johnston. Combined parties have been those given by Mrs Garth Gallaway and Mrs G.- Richards, and Mrs S. M. Sparrow, Mrs J. S. Jack and Mrs R. j.H. Stevenson. A combined afternoon paf<tv for Miss Marjorie Gillman and Miss Joan Tennent was held by Mrs W. Boyd, Mrs H. Walker, Mrs H. McDougall. Mrs S. Curby, Mrs E. D. Duthie, Mrs W. Earnshaw, Mrs G. Thomson and Mrs G. Russell.
