HARD OF HEARING LEAGUE
The social programme of the Hard of Hearing Men’s Club for the 1950 season was completed recently when the club entertained members of the Ex-tramway-men’s Club at an indoor bowling match The game resulted in a decisive win for the tramwaymen. Speaking on behalf of the visitors, Mr Quartermain congratulated the league upon its acquisition of three complete sets of indoor bowling equipment and the excellent rooms occupied by the local branch. , There was an attendance of 24 on members’ night and the meeting was presided over by Mr J. H. Shilcock. A programme of musical and elocutionary items and reviews of recent overseas tours made by some of the members, made an interesting evening.
