London Wool Sales The Bank of New Zealand Produce Department has received the following cablegram from its London office under date December 8: Wool sales closed today on a strong and confident note, with crossbred prices the highest ever known. Slipes and scoured are in keen demand, also at record prices Current quotations for wool of average condition (prices are given in sterling without deduction of any sort for freight, charges, etc.) are:— Halfbred: 56/58’s, 126 d to 130 d: 50/56’s. 119 dto 122 d. Crossbred: 50’s, 119 d to 121 d; 48/50’s, U7Jd to 120 d; 46/48’s. 116 d to 119 d; 44/46’s. Il4d to 118 d The range of sale room prices for New Zealand-grown greasy wool is:— Fine halfbred.—sß’s-56/58’s, Good, 133 d to 135 d; average, 128 d to 132 d. Halfbred—so/56’s-56's: Good, 124 dto 129 d; average, 120 d to 123 d. Fine crossbred.—so’s-48/50’s: Good. 122 d to 125 d. average. 117 d to 121 d. Medium Crossbred Good, 120 d to 123 d: average, 116 d to 119 d. Fine Crossbred Hoggets.—so/54: Super, 129 d to 132 d; good, 126 d to 128 d; average, 122 d to 125 d. First Crossbred Pieces.—Good, 97d to 105 d; average. 90d to 95d. Crossbred Bellies.—Good, 90d to 96d: average, 87d to 89d
