West Australia To Remain “Wet”
NZPA—Copyright Rec. 6 p.m. PERTH, Dec. 10. The ,f wets" are well ahead in Western Australia’s prohibition poll, held yesterday, and the State is certain to stay “ wet.” Western Australians voted at the referendum on prohibition with the temperature around the 95 degrees mark. At one stage publicans organised a fleet of taxis to take voters from their bars to the polling booihs, with the guarantee of a ride back to the hotel after voting. The results will not be given before tomorrow or later. Voting was compulsory. _
