Formation Of A United Church
WELLINGTON, Dec. 10.
Though he believed, in the fellowship of the Christian communion and the strengthening of bonds between all churches, he did not think the churches were ready yet for the formation of a United Church. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Fisher, said this when speaking at a public service at the Wellington Town Hall this afternoon. He said that at present each church, with its own tradition, had a special contribution to make to the plan of Jesus Christ.
