Christmas Shoot Held

The Dunedin Gun Club held its Christmas shoot, the last for the season, at Brighton road on Saturday afternoon. The weather in the main was good, although occasional gusts of wind caused the targets to fly high. The main event of the day, the 15-target Christmas Handicap, proved an interesting match, especially in the A Grade, where J. A. Sawers. R. Walker, W C. Geddes and N. J. West divided the honours with 14 breaks. The B Grade match was won outright by W. Stewart with 14. J. A. Sawers was “ high gun ” for the day fvith 37 breaks out of 40.

Results:— Eye-opener (five targets).—H. T. Weir, F. W. Stevenson, J. K Begg. A. Callaghan, J. A. Sawers, R. Walker, N. J. West and P E. Wood all broke the possible. Fifteen-target Match—A Grade: J. A. Sawers. R. Walker, W. C. Geddes and N. J. West 14 breaks; G. E. Turner, R. Graham and A. Callaghan 13; F. W. Stevenson, J. K. Begg and C. Law 12. B Grade: W. Stewart 14 breaks; W. J.
