Milk Deliveries Resumed At Auckland
AUCKLAND, Dec. 10.
Milk was delivered at the front gate of almost every house in Auckland this morning for the first time in five days. For more than 40,000 homes it meant an end to the daily walk to the local dairy or emergency depot for supplies. The striking treatment workers returned to work on Saturday afternoon after a meeting in the morning at which they heard the terms of settlement between the Dairy Workers’ Union and the employers.
