WELLINGTON PROTEST
Branch Considering Direct Action PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 10. The Wellington branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants decided at a meeting on Saturday that, if necessary, it would take direct action through its executive in protest against the wage increases announced recently by the Railways Tribunal. Urgent representations are being made to the executive to take action to bring about a decision that would alleviate the conditions of the lower-paid members and a general settlement of all members’ rates.
