Protest In Oamaru
Special to the Daily Times OAMARU. Dec. 10. The Oamaru branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, at a well-attended meeting on Saturday night, carried a resolution unanimously protesting strongly against the tribunal’s findings on the wages question. “We suggest,” the resolution said, "that the Public Service Association, Post Office and other railway organisations call a conference of the executives and demand from the Government equal increases for all the members. Further, the branch supports the Executive Council in any action it may take to obtain justice for our members in the lower wage groups.”
