SUMMER SHOW
Small Surplus Expected
At the monthly meeting of the committee of the Otago A. and P. Society, the president, Mr C. M. Bruce, occupied the chair. On the recommendation of the Finance Committee accounts amounting to £2905 4s 2d which included summer show prize money and other show expenses were passed for payment. The financial statement of the summer show was incomplete as several accounts had not yet come to hand, bbt it was estimated that a small surplus would be shown on the fixture, The New Building Fund had increased from £4913 at the previous meeting to £5060.
It was noted that all the huts and cubicles at the motor camp were fully booked over the holiday period and large numbers of caravans were also booked in. The Grounds and Buildings Committee reported that the new turnstile was operating and was' handling the crowds more efficiently than those installed previously, and further improvements to the gateways would be carried out in the new year.
