POWER BOARD NOTICES 0 TAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. SPECIAL ORDER FOR THE RAISING OF £IO,OOO UNDER A LOAN CALLED " HOUSING LOAN. 1950." WHEREAS on the Ist day ol NOVEMBER, 1950, the Local Government Loans Board sanctioned the borrowing in New Zealand by the Otago Electric Power Board of the sum of TEN THOUSAND POUNDS (£IO,OOOI for the purpose of acquiring Land, Erecting Dwellings and Purchasing Land with the Dwellings erected thereon in the Otago Electric Power Board District, which includes portions of the Counties of Bruce, Clutha, Maniotito, Taieri, Tuapeka, Waihemo and Waikouaiti, together with the Boroughs of Kaitangata, Balclutha, Lawrence, Naseby, Palmerston and Waikouaiti (hereinafter called the Otago Electric Power District), and Whereas in Pursuance and Exercise of the Powers Vested in tlie Board in that behalf by " The Electric Power Board Act, 1925," “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” Section 15 of “The Finance Act (No, 2), 1936,” and Section 15 of “ The Statutes Amendment Act. 1938, as amended by Section 4 of “ The Electric Power Boards Amendment Act, 1947,” a Resolution by way of Special Order was passed by the Board on the 14th day of NOVEMBER. 1950, to Borrow the said sum of TEN THOUSAND POUNDS (£10,000) ' for a term of TWENTY (20) YEARS, at a rate of interest not exceeding Three Pounds Five Shillings (£3 ss) per centum per annum, such Loan, with interest thereon as aforesaid, to be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments of principal and Interest extending over the said term of Twenty (20) Years, and such Loan to be secured by a Special Annual Recurring Rate of One Thirty-fifth of a Penny (l-35d) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all Rateable Property within the Inner Area of the Otago Electric Power District, which said Rate will be made and levied, but not necessarily collected. __ NOW, THEREFORE, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Board to CONFIRM the said Resolution by way of Special Order at a Meeting to be held at Milton on the 19th day of DECEMBER,' 1950, in the Boards Public Office at Union street, Milton, and that a Copy of the said Resolution by way of Special Order is deposited at the Public Office of the Board and at the Office of the Local, Authority of each constituent District, and is Open to Inspection by the Public for at least Twenty-one (21) days immediately preceding the said 19tli day of December, 1950, the day appointed for the holding of the subsequent Meeting at which it is intended that the said Resolution by way of Special Order shall be Confirmed.
