TRAMWAYS DISPUTE
Tribunal Set Up By Minister PA WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. The Minister of Labour, Mr Sullivan, today announced the tribunal established in connection with the Christchurch tramways dispute. Those representing the employers are Mr J. E. Jones (late chairman of the Christchurch Tramways Board) and Mr R. E. Dawson (secretary of the New Zealand Tramways and Public Passenger Transport Authorities’ Industrial Union of Employers), and those representing the union are Mr W. B. Richards (national president of the New Zealand Tramways Authorities’ Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers) and Mr P. A. Hansen (national secretary). The chairman appointed by the Minister is Mr C. C. Marsack, S.M. The tribunal will meet in Christchurch on Wednesday.
