First Test Against India NEW DELHI, Nov. 6. The Australian, Bruce Dooland. scored a fine century for the Commonwealth tourists in the first test against India, but the tourists were all out for 272 in reply to India’s 169. India began the second innings with aggressive hitting from Merchant and Mustaqali and the home side wiped out the first innings arrears of 103 and added another 45 with nine wtekets in hand. Scores: —Commonwealth: First innings, 272 (Dooland 108. Tribe 38; Chowdhury three for 82, Mankad four for 66). India: First innings, 169: second innings, one for 148 (Merchant not out 48. Mustaqali 61. Umrigar not out 25).
