Puerto Rican Faces Murder Charge NZPA Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 6. The Puerto Rican Nationalist, Oscar Collazo, penniless and apparently deserted by his friends, asked the Federal Court today to appoint a lawyer to defend him against the murder charge resulting from his attempt to assassinate President Truman on November 1. Federal Judge Edward Tamm said he would name an attorney to represent Callazo without charge. Federal prosecutors will ask. the grand jury later this week to indict Collazo for the first degree murder of one of President Truman's guards.
