National Insurance Shares DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Activity on the Stock Exchange yesterday was centred in the shares of New Zealand Breweries, Huddart, Parker and Co., New Zealand Forest Products, National Insurance and Union Banks. The parcel of National Insurance shares was at the advanced price of 25s 6d, but the Union Banks and Kuddart, Parker ordinary shares were at reduced prices —the former by virtue of selling pressure and the latter as a concession to the odd lot involved. The ordinary shares of New Zealand Forest Products held the previous day’s price, with 400 changing hands at 6s 6d, and the preference issue at 14s 4d were at approximately their late level. Sixpence separated buyer and se }} when the Union Bank share was called for the last time, but neither the buyer at £ll 12s nor the vendor at £ll 12s bd would make any further concession. Both the ordinary and preference shares of Electrolytic Zinc were more closely quoted than they have .been for some weeks. The ordinary was at 81s 9d-84s, and the preference 81s 6d-82s 9d.
