Frigate Rotoiti To Sail PREPARATIONS IN HAND PA AUCKLAND, Sept. 26. Preparations for the departure from Auckland for the Far East next week of the New Zealand frigate Rotoiti are now well advanced. The third frigate from the New Zealand Squadron to serve with the United Nations navai forces in Korean waters, the Rotoiti will sail on October 7 to relieve the Pukaki which left here with the Tutira on July 3. This week the Rotoiti will complete victualling and taking in naval stores and the ship will be painted. Next week ammunition and other supplies will be loaded. Rotoiti was in calliope dock earlier this month. Substantial replacements in the ship’s company will be made because of pending courses, discharges and promotions and the frigate’s strength will also be increased to meet any emergencies. One officer, Lieutenant L. E. Hodge. RN, will take passage in Rotoiti to join the Tutira which will remain with the United Nations forces. Lieutenantcommander B. E. Turner, RNZN, oi Auckland, formerly executive officei of the Philomel, commands the Rotoiti.
