SOUTH ISLAND POWER
Position Satisfactory Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, Sept. 25
South Island power consumption is continuing at just over 3 per cent, in excess oL the allocation. This figure was contained in a review of the supply position issued by Mr A. E.' Davenport, general manager of the State Hydro-electric Department, today. Although there was a loss of storage of more than 500,000 units in the week just ended, Mr Davenport stated that the general position of the South Island supply remained satisfactory.
