REVUE COMPANY

Change Of Programme

With a change of scene, but no diminution of pace, the Ophir Rees Revue Company started its second week at His Majesty’s Theatre yesterday with a new programme captioned “ Stars and Garters.” Like the first show, it is a bright medley of straight vaudeville items in a surprisingly strong vocal framework. All the favourites of the first week’s bill were back on stage last night with new routines, jokes and songs from their respective repertoires. There was an addition to the company—a talented youngster variously named “ Frogman ” and ‘ ‘Ricardo,” who combined rubber limbs with nimble fingers in contortion and manipulation acts The company’s comedian, Art Luden. was kept. hard at work with a fast flow of patter. In view of the popularity which the first programme won, it would appear that “ Stars and Garters ” should have an equally successful week.
