FULLEST SUPPORT FOR UNITED NATIONS

Rec. 9.30 p.m. SYDNEY, July 24. The leader of Australia’s largest union today called for full support for the United Nations. He is Mr T. Dougherty, general secretary of the Australian Workers’ Union, which has a membership throughout Australia of 150,000. Mr Dougherty said that if the United Nations wanted ships, planes and war material, Australian trade unionists would see they were delivered.
