Disaster To Transport Plane AIR FORCE VICTIMS NEW YORK, July 23. Thirty-three men were killed when a C 46 transport plane carrying air force reservists crashed at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, today. There were no survivors. The plane exploded and. burned when it crashed. An eye-witness said that the plane lost part of its rudder soon after taking off from a nearby air base. The reservists had been on National Guard manoeuvres.
