Otago Club’s Trials The Otago Gun Dog Club held its seventh trials for the 1950 season during the week-end on Mr T. D. Dalziel’s property. Mount Grand, Brockville. The weather was warm and mild, and a total of 45 entries were received. The president, Mr W. W. A. Smith, presented the trophies and cups won at the two previous trials. The results were:— Open Land (range, find and'flush two homers). Thirteen entries. Judse: Mr G. W. Creighton.—E. Henderson’s Labrador, Dark, 93 points. 1; D. A. McLeod's Labrador, Sandy Powell, 86 points, 2; D. A. McLeod’s Labrador, Sparkle Boy, 83 points, 3; M. Phillip’s Cocker Spaniel, Bing, 80 points, 4; J. Penno’s Yellow Labrador. Flagstaff Queen, 75 points, and R. Penno’s Labrador. Lady Dee. 75 points (equal), 5. Limit, Land (range, find and flush one homer, one 'bird heel, retrieve). Eleven entries. Judge: Mr W. W. A. Smith.—M. Phillip’s Cocker Spaniel, Bing, 80 points, I; F. A. Harty’s curly-coat retriever, Rover of Eveline, 75 points, and C. G. Phillip’s Labrador, Flagstaff Laddie, 75 points (equal), 2; I. E. L. Ralston’s Golden Retriever, Miss Joy of Mosgiel, 73 points. 4; R. V. Sinclair’s curly-coat retriever, Rock, 70 points, .5. Novice, Land (one bird, heel, retrieve). Twelve entries. Judge: Mr R.
