Catholic Women Discuss War Memorial Schemes

Miss N. P. Fitzgibbon presided over a large attendance of members of the Catholic Women’s League at the monthly social, wnich was held in the Pioneer Women’s Rooms last Tuesday evening. Members of the Music and Drama Circle presented a one-act play entitled "And So They Were Married,’’ produced by Miss Eileen Horlston. A discussion on the proposed war memorial scheme was conducted by Mrs J. More, the speakers for the three schemes being Mrs Evatt (cultural centre). Mrs T. McConnell (sports centre), and Miss Fitzgibbon (reclamation of Anderson's Bay Inlet). The hostesses were Mesdames T. J. McCarten. P. Walsh, and Miss Clancey.
