Chinese Communist forces had crossed the Tibetan border and occupied Kanjey, a provincial town in the Thajido region, 650 miles north-east of Lhasa, the English daily newspaper Armita Bazar Patrika reported today. The paper, quoting reports from its correspondent at Gangtok Sikkim, on the Tibet frontier, added that Communists had also infiltrated in lorce into the North Tibetan province of Kaham. Official sources in Calcutta denied all knowledge of such moves.
