NEW CURRENCY
China Considering Plan Rec 9 p.m. PEKING, June 10. The Government is reported to be considering the issuance of a new currency enabling China to join the Soviet sponsored rouble bloc. The currency plan calls for the adoption of the gold standard along the same lines as the recent Russian revaluing of the rouble. It is said that' the Peking authorities will fix the gold price at 35 United- States dollars an ounce. . , , , , The Government is reported to be of the opinion that China must sooner or later enter the world market and therefore it is necessary to have acceptable currency.
