P. Cherrington. (3) Wanganui was not the first team to score a try against Otago after Otago had won the Shield in 1947. Otago did not play Wanganui until the following season. (4) An English team has not met a South African team since 1938, when a side captained by S. Walker toured Stuth Afric3> “ North Qtago Inquirer.”—(l) An adult worker on a sheep run is to be paid £5 6s 6d a week, including board and lodging. (2) He Is entitled to not fewer than 34 days’ holiday per annum, including half-days, statutory, special and annual holidays. (3) There are no set hours of work.
