Budapest Conference Sends Congratulations REFUSAL TO LOAD MUNITIONS BUDAPEST, May 14. The conference of Trade Union Internationals—a trade department of the World Federation of Trade Unions —closed after adopting two resolutions proposed by the Australian delegate, Mr E. V. Elliott. The first resolution protested against the “unjust persecution” by the United States of the Longshoremen’s Union leader, Harry Bridges. The second resolution sent congratulations and greetings to the Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne dockers, who declined to load war materials, “ aimed at overwhelming freedom movements in colonial and dependent countries.”
